My scenographies, installations and visual concepts develop at the interface of art, science and activism. They mark spaces of transition and transformation and search for alternative forms of encounter and artistic dialogue.
In my work, I always reflect on the production conditions and the creation process of the particular project: the joint research, the communication flow between all participants, the place of presentation. The points of departure are concrete topographical locations and reduced spatial structures, into which researched material is implemented and collaged: Images, texts, films, objects, sounds.
When perceived in the right light, any location can become a stage. I understand my artistic work as a spatial focussing. It neither illustrates nor forms a thematic framework; it does the opposite: it creates openness and awareness – for discourse, social movement and change.
