My stages, installations and visual concepts follow from the idea of an analytical theater. They also reflect the production conditions and development process of the particular project: the joint research, the communication flow between all participants, the institution. The points of departure for my work are reduced topographical and spatial stuctures in which researched material is implemented and collaged: images, texts, films, objects, sounds.
The stage is a temporary space, a container for information. When perceived in the right light, any location can become a stage. I conceive of my scenographical work as “anti-decor”. It neither illustrates nor forms a thematic framework; it does the opposite: it creates openness – for discourse, social movement and change.
